Raheem Sterling was denied a dramatic injury time winner in the Champions League semi-final as Tottenham snatched a stunning away goals win at the Etihad Stadium.
Everyone believed the England winger had won it at the death for Pep Guardiola’s side, so much so that even Man City’s social media team posted a premature celebration tweet after the ball hit the net.

Sterling thought he had scored the winner but his goal was disallowed
But VAR intervened to stun the Etihad into silence and Spurs went through to the semi-finals despite a 4-3 defeat on the night.
The post has since been retweeted more than 51,000 times and liked more than 75,000 times.
