Benjamin Mendy has become something of a social media sensation since joining Manchester City, and the latest video of him will further endear the defender to the Etihad club’s support.
With Pep Guardiola’s side battling Liverpool for the Premier League title, City fans are delighted every time the Anfield club lose.
Admittedly, there have been few occasions this season that Liverpool have suffered defeat – though they were on the receiving end of a Lionel Messi masterclass earlier this week.
Liverpool lost the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Barcelona on Wednesday, with Messi adding a second-half brace after Luis Suarez opened the scoring.

And Mendy, who was invited to Camp Nou by France team-mates Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti, took delight at the Reds’ emphatic loss.
In fact, he was so happy he insulted Liverpool by giving them the finger – as seen on a video which has since been widely shared on social media.
City, who were knocked out the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, lead Liverpool in the Premier League with two matches to go.
Mendy, however, has hardly featured for Guardiola’s side, with various injuries restricting the 24-year-old to just 14 appearances in all competitions.
The former Marseille star, who is rumoured to have issues with his off-pitch conduct, has in fact played just 23 times for City since joining from Monaco in 2017 for £52million.
