Willian has used his time away from football to take a holiday in Israel and get baptised in the River Jordan.
Deeply religious, the Chelsea star is a devout Christian and shared images of the symbolic act to his 8.7m followers on Instagram.
Chelsea are keen to tie down Willian, who moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013, to a new deal until 2021, as they do not want to lose any of their players for nothing if they are unable to make any signings next summer.

How did Chelsea's players fare on international duty?
It doesn't look like Tammy Abraham is going back to Aston Villa.
The striker has been on loan at the Championship club and scored 26 goals for them as they reached the Premier League.
However, a post on Instagram suggested he was bidding farewell to the newly promoted side.
“Where do I start. Firstly I want to thank everyone at Aston Villa for a unforgettable season.
“Felt the love and support from the get go & we did it together! This club will always have a place in my heart. Aston Villa welcome to the Premier League.”
And 19-year-old Chelsea acadey prospect Trevoh Chalobah commented with 'Chelsea No9' alongside a smiling emoji.
Chelsea have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over their transfer ban.
The Premier League side were found to have broken rules regarding dealings with under-18 players from foreign countries over a number of years.
In February, FIFA suspended Chelsea from registering new players for the next two windows and football's governing body have already turned down an appeal from Chelsea.
N'Golo Kante has been sent home by France due to a knee injury, the French Football Association confirmed.
The world champions are preparing to play Turkey and Andorra in their Euro 2020 qualifiers, but will do so without the Chelsea midfielder.
France play Turkey in Konya on Saturday.
Olivier Giroud admits he was frustrated by Maurizio Sarri signing Gonzalo Higuain.
The striker arrived from Juventus on loan in January and started 13 Premier League games, sidelining Giroud.
“When I didn’t understand [Sarri's] choices, I went to see him, he gave me explanations,” the 32-year-old told RMC.
“What was annoying was he preferred to recruit Higuain. My playing time did not improve and it was not easy.”
Giroud top scored for the club in the Europa League with 11 goals, including one in the final and in May, agreed to a one-year extension on his contract.
Belgian journalist, Kristof Terruer, who has close ties with Eden Hazard, told talkSPORT 2 how soon fans can expect the the player's move from Chelsea to Real Madrid to be completed.
It has been reported the Blues have accepted an £88.5m offer, which could rise to as much as £130m and Real want the announce the deal as soon as possible, Terruer said.
“Tomorrow (7 June) [Real Madrid] are launching their new kit, so they might want to have Hazard to pose with the new shirt,” he explained.
“We have to wait and see if they can get that through, but they want to announce it as fast as possible.
“Basically, they wanted to announce it last week, but then the negotiations were a bit slower than expected and only reached a breakthrough last night/ this morning.”
Eden Hazard is closing in on his move to Real Madrid after Chelsea accepted an offer for the Belgian.
The Blues have accepted an £88.5million offer from Los Blancos for the winger – with the deal said to have significant clauses that could take the full price to £130m
Although the initial fee is way below Chelsea's asking price, Real Madrid have included 'realistic' bonuses and additional payments to bolster the sum.
Thibaut Courtois couldn't resist the urge to get involved in the Hazard transfer saga.
Ex-Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is eyeing up a move to the Premier League by taking English lessons.
The 51-year-old has made no secret of the fact he wants a new challenge after spending five years with the Turin club, who won the title again this season.
Maurizio Sarri's future is uncertain at Chelsea and Allegri has been tooted as the man who could replace him.
Alvaro Morata has pleaded Atletico Madrid to sign him permanently from Chelsea.
Speaking to Goal, he said: “I’ve dreamed of being able to play in a World Cup since I was 10 years old, and I chose Chelsea because I thought it would be the best club to later be able to play in the World Cup.
“Now, signing for Atletico has been the best thing that could happen to me in my life.”
“I want to stay at Atletico but, contractually, Chelsea can call me back. We will see what happens in the negotiations between them, but the two clubs already know what I want. I only ask, please, as I said to Atletico, do everything possible to do it as soon as possible. Because I just want to be here.”
Chelsea could be hit with a three-window transfer ban if they try and delay the start of their embargo this summer, according to reports.
The Blues were slapped with a two-window ban by Fifa over their signings of foreign minors.
According to the Telegraph, this could be extended to a third window if they attempt to push it back.
The Stamford Bridge hierarchy have appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in the hope that the ruling would be overturned.
Chelsea are willing to let starlet Fikayo Tomori leave this summer for £10million.
Derbyshire Live report that Tomori, who spent last season on loan with Derby, is available for transfer with the Rams keen on securing his services on a permanent basis.
The England Under-21 international was named Derby's player of the year and has also been linked with a summer transfer to Celtic.
Willian is expected to sign a new contract with Chelsea to tie him down at Stamford Bridge until 2021.
The Star claim Willian, the Brazil winger, wanted a three-year deal but the Blues were only offering him a two-year extension.
However, the 30-year-old is now said to be happy with the offer on the table and will put pen to paper.
Willian will follow Callum Hudson-Odoi in signing a new contract with Chelsea, with talkSPORT reporting earlier this week that the teenager will pen a five-year deal worth around £100,000-a-week.
Eden Hazard is to seal his move to Real Madrid this week after the Spanish club agreed a fee with Chelsea, report the Guardian.
Real and Chelsea are claimed to have thrashed out an agreement which will see the Spanish side pay in the region of €100m (£88.5m) plus add-ons.
The Belgian playmaker will leave west London after seven hugely successful years at the club, winning the Premier League twice, one FA Cup and two Europa League titles.
Chelsea fans are very excited about the future of Reece James – and it’s easy to see why.
The 19-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, caught the eye while on loan at Wigan in the Championship during 2018/19.
He was named in the division’s Team of the Year and the Latics even game him the captain’s armband on his final appearance to show their gratitude.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing him – and the below video from the Toulon Tournament shows exactly what all the fuss is about.

Real Madrid will confirm the signing of Eden Hazard in the coming hours, reports claim.
Respected Spanish outlet Chringuito TV says the clubs have finally agreed on a price around 100million euros (£89million).
It is understood Chelsea were asking for a figure closer to £100million, which Madrid considered excessive given Hazard has a year remaining on his contract.
Reports emerged earlier today saying that talks between the two clubs had collapsed as they were unable to agree a fee.
But now, it appears as though a breakthrough has finally been made.
Eden Hazard told Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang he was leaving Chelsea in the tunnel ahead of the Europa League final.
The Belgian scored twice in the 4-1 victory before confirming it was probably his last game for the Blues.
According to RMC Sport, Hazard told Aubameyang: “I gave my life, my legs, my buttocks, everything.”
The pair were briefly team-mates at Lille in 2009/10 when Aubameyang joined on loan from AC Milan and Hazard broke into the first team.
Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris admits that fellow France international Kylian Mbappe has a "real great potential" amid interest from a number of European clubs.
