Wolves captain Conor Coady desperately hopes Raul Jimenez will make his loan switch from Benfica permanent.
The Portuguese striker has been in stunning form this term, most recently notching a goal and an assist during the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Manchester United, the latest giant killing of a remarkable season.
His fine goalscoring record in the Premier League has propelled Wolves to seventh, and reports suggest the club will try to sign him for £30million this summer.
The 27-year-old has previously declared his desire to stay at Molineux beyond this season.

Jimenez put in another majestic display against United
“I’d like to stay at Wolves. I’m very happy,” he told Marca Claro.
“A major project was created at Wolverhampton. It’s not normal for a newly-promoted Premier League team to be fighting for a place in the Europa League.”
And Coady believes it would be massive for the club if they could secure the striker’s services on a permanent basis, hailing his telepathic relationship with Diogo Jota.

“They’re incredible footballers, they run their socks off for the team every week and you know how much it means to them,†he told talkSPORT.
“The way they link up together and the relationship they’ve got at the minute is fantastic.
“Looking at it from the position I play, it’s just brilliant to watch.

Coady hailed a ‘special’ night at Molineux
“It would be good if we could keep hold of Raul, it really would. It feels like he’s been at the club for a long time and we want to keep him there for as long as possible.
“The clubs will come to a decision and he’ll come to a decision, I think to keep him would be a big thing for the football club. But we’ll see.â€
Wolves find themselves in the semi-finals of the FA Cup following a run which has seen them dump both Liverpool and Manchester United out of the competition.

And during a season which has also seen victories over Chelsea and Tottenham in the league, Coady insists the defeat of the Red Devils on Saturday has been the highlight so far.
“It’s the best,†he added. “In the Cup, anything can happen. Manchester United are an incredible football club with fantastic players and a brilliant manager.
“It was a special night for everybody, the atmosphere for building up for the last few weeks has been brilliant and we’d felt it all week.
“We couldn’t wait to get started and the way the whole night panned out was perfect.â€
