However, the game was marred by alleged racist chants directed at Danny Rose and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Rose appeared to be a target of the home supporters after he was booked late on, while Hudson-Odoi claimed he heard monkey noises being made.

Sterling, who scored England̢۪s final goal and celebrated by cupping his ears to the home crowd, wants teams who are found guilty of racial abuse to play behind closed doors.

When asked about the alleged abuse, Tumbakovic said: “I have not noticed nor heard any chanting.

â€Å“The first time I have heard [of] this is now.

“First of all, I don’t see the reason why I should comment on that.

“Second, I haven’t heard anything.

“Third, I was thinking about the game, so I had to concentrate on the game.”

The Three Lions boss confirmed the Football Association will report the incident to UEFA.

He said: â€Å“I definitely heard abuse at Danny Rose when he got booked at the end of the game. We’ll make sure that’s reported officially. It’s not acceptable.

â€Å“There’s no doubt in my mind that it happened and it will be reported officially. I don’t want to speculate but I know what I heard.

â€Å“I’m not sure yet [whether others were abused]. I had a quick chat with Danny but I’ve not had a chance to speak to Raheem yet.

â€Å“I know what I heard, and we’ll definitely deal with it the right way. We’ve got to make sure we support our players.”
