Maurizio Sarri ‘agrees terms’ with Juventus as Chelsea manager eyes exit after just one season

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus to become their new manager.

The Serie A club are searching for their next boss after Massimiliano Allegri left at the end of the season and the current Chelsea manager has emerged as the frontrunner for the vacant position.

The Daily Mail has reported that Sarri has an agreement in place for a three-year contract worth £6.2million a year.

The 60-year-old still has two years left on his current Blues contract but they are thought to be open to the idea of letting him go.

It has been a turbulent season at Stamford Bridge with the Italian on the verge of being sacked at one stage.

It ended with a third place finish, runners-up in the Carabao Cup and into the Europa League final against Arsenal, which is live on talkSPORT.

Juventus are understood to be stepping up their pursuit of Sarri following the final on Wednesday.

His representatives are also set for talks with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia about his future following the end of the season.

One other name who has been linked to the top job in Turin is Mauricio Pochettino but Tottenham are thought to be confident of keeping their man.

Whoever does take over at Juventus will go in to one of the best clubs in Europe who have won Serie A for the last eight seasons.
