City won 4-3 at the Etihad on the night, but Spurs went through on away goals after winning the first leg at home 1-0.

The game was a spectacle and it looked like Raheem Sterling had scored the winner for City in stoppage-time, only for it to be chalked off for offside in the build-up.

To their credit, the home crowd applauded their team at the final whistle despite having their hopes of a famous quadruple being cruelly taken away.

City were so close to making it to the last four

But it’s party time as far as Spurs are concerned and as the final whistle went, the club’s star man Harry Kane, who sustained an injury in the first leg, posted a hilarious video on his social media celebrating the result.

Kane’s post had the caption: “Omggg! I love you boys!!!! #COYS #UCL”.

The striker also yelled ‘Let’s go!’ at the top of his lungs which you can see below.

Spurs will play Dutch giants Ajax, who knocked out Juventus on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will meet Barcelona in the semis after dispatching Porto with a 6-1 aggregate victory.
