Next season’s Premier League ball may have just been leaked online.
Images obtained by the reliable FootyHeadlines suggest the Merlin ball from last season has been given a really understated revamp for the new campaign.
While LaLiga will have a Puma ball from next season, the Premier League announced a new six-year deal with Nike last November.
We will see Nike balls used in the Premier League until at least 2025, a sight which has become synonymous with the English top-flight since the new millennium.
According to the American sports giant: “Nike have integrated their All Conditions Control (ACC) technology in a football for the first time, ensuring optimal touch and control in all weather and pitch conditions.
“Using higher frequency welding techniques, the number of panels traditionally seen have also been reduced further to just four, creating a larger striking surface for an even cleaner flight and enhancing accuracy.”
Hopefully fans will get to see plenty of goals next season.
The fixtures for the new campaign will be released on Thursday, June 13th and fans can tune into talkSPORT for live reaction.
