Phil Jones has revealed his close friends mock his facial expressions ‘every night’ on WhatsApp.
The Manchester United defender often finds himself trending on social media for non-football related reasons.
And Jones admits he is used to people poking fun at his face – because mates do it all the time.
“It’s banter, my mates banter me all the time about it,” Jones told Goal.
“It is what it is. I’m not too fussed about that either. My mates send me pictures every single night on the WhatApp group taking the mick out of me.

Jones often gets a hard time on social media for his exploits on the pitch, too.
The 27-year-old recently signed a new contract which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2023, and some were quick to argue that he was undeserving of the deal.
“People can make their own opinions up,” he added. “Ultimately I’ve got another contract at United.
“I’ve been here for eight or nine years now and I’ve won the Premier League, been to two World Cups.
