Jose Mourinho has reportedly been offered the Celtic job

Brendan Rodgers left to take the Leicester City job and spurned the chance to win a famous triple treble.

Neil Lennon has been in temporary charge of the club and led them to the Scottish Premiership title.

Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Celtic have made an offer to Mourinho.

The Special One has been out of work since he was sacked by Manchester United in December.

Celtic would provide an opportunity to win trophies for the 56-year-old and the offer is understood to have been put to his agent Jorge Mendes.

Mourinho is thought to be on standby if an opportunity were to arise at Paris Saint-Germain following their failure in this season’s Champions League.

Should Thomas Tuchel not be sacked, and no other offers come in, then the Glasgow club could be his next destination.
