Shayon Harrison has given Tottenham fans a glimpse of the future with a mesmerising solo goal for Melbourne City.
The 21-year-old forward, currently on loan from Spurs at the Australian A-League club, channelled his inner Lionel Messi to open the scoring against Central Coast Mariners on Friday.
Harrison danced through two defenders into the box, then beat another before dropping his shoulder and outsmarting the goalkeeper with a clever finish.
Admittedly, the defenders have a lot to answer for, and Harrison went on to bag a second during the 5-0 hammering at AAMI Park.
The Englishman needs something to spark his Tottenham career.
After breaking through the club’s academy in 2016, he made his debut as an 83rd-minute substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the EFL Cup.

Those seven minutes remain the only time he has featured in a competitive game for Spurs – and back-to-back loan spells at Yeovil and Southend saw little success.
However, Melbourne City coach Warren Joyce believes the sky is the limit for Harrison.
He said: “I have worked with young players a lot. You can put high demands on them but a big bit for him is you don’t know how much he can achieve.

”I think it’s limitless. When you are a kid, very quickly you can turn things around, and if you have got that amount of talent he’s got.
“Harry Kane, Jesse Lingard had loan spells where they were both doing all right, doing not so great, you speak to people at different clubs and they were not doing that well there.
“We are looking to help him develop his career and for him to help us along the way. He has got talent, it’s making the most of the talent he has got.”
